I received this story via email and thought I would share this with you..

"When I was a little girl, my mom liked to make breakfast food for dinner every now and then. And I remember one night in particular when she had made breakfast after a long, hard day at work. On that evening so long ago, my mom placed a plate of eggs, sausage, and extremely burned toast in front of my dad. I remember waiting to see if anyone noticed! Yet all my dad did was reach for his toast, smile at my mom, and ask me how my day was at school. I don't remember what I told him that night, but I do remember watching him smear butter and jelly on that toast and eat every bite!

When I got Up from the table that evening, I remember hearing my mom apologize to my dad For burning the toast. And I'll never forget what he said: 'Baby, I love burned toast.'

Later that night, I went to kiss Daddy good night and I asked him if He really liked his toast burned. He wrapped me in his arms and said, 'Debbie, your Momma put in a hard day at work today and she's real tired. And besides-a little burnt toast never hurt anyone!' You know, life is full of imperfect things.....and imperfect people. I'm not the best housekeeper or cook.

What I've learned over the years is that learning to accept each other's faults - and choosing to celebrate each other's differences - is the one of the most important keys to creating a healthy, growing, and lasting relationship.

And that's my prayer for you today. That you will learn to take the good, the bad, and the ugly parts of your life and lay them at the feet of GOD. Because in the end, He's the only One who will be able to give you a relationship where burnt toast isn't a deal-breaker! We could extend this to any relationship in fact - as understanding is the base of any relationship, be it a husband-wife or parent-child or friendship!! "

With Mother’s Day approaching…Thought I should just remind you how special you are. You might not be a mother yet, but you may be a girlfriend, a wife, a sister, an aunt, a god mother….etc.

To those who have recently given birth…Congrats

Those who are pregnant… You are carrying the most precious cargo…stay healthy and enjoy the 9 months.

Those who have miscarried…stay strong, everything happens for a reason.

Those who have conceived and don’t know it yet…prepare yourself for the best experience of your life.

Those who are looking after their siblings…you are doing a great job.

Those who have adopted….We need more angels like you.

Those who are single moms…You are our sheros, stay strong.

Those who have recently lost their mothers, aunts, sisters, wives & girlfriends…I sympathise, they are at a better place but their spirit lives on.

Those who have mothers but do not get along with…..if the relationship is worth fixing, then fix it and don’t regret later.

The list goes on and on.…God has a plan for all of us.

Regardless of what happens or does not happen, everything happens for a reason, always know that you are special and never settle for less.

Maxie toe hy 4 maande oud was

Ek was nooit regtig 'n honde mens nie. Ek het meer van katte gehou, alhoewel ek met honde en katte grootgeword het, het ek maar eerder katte verkies..totdat ek my yorkie, Maximus aka Maxie gekry het. Ek was nog altyd lief gewees vir diere, ek onthou ek wou eens op 'n tyd 'n veearts geword het. Maxie bring soveel vreugde en plesier in mens se lewe. Hy laat met altyd beter voel na 'n slegte dag. Hy is altyd bly om mens te sien en hy betoon soveel liefde. Natuurlik is hy baie bederf ;) hy is dan my ou babatjie! :P Maxie het 'n maatjie gekry die naweek.. ons noem hom Tiki. Dis 'n rondloper wat na ons toe gekom het, ons kan nie so eienaars opspoor nie so nou het ons hom maar aangeneem. Net so liefdevol.Ek is natuurlik besig om vir skimp vir nog 'n yorkie. Hulle is darem te oulik. Baie slim, liefdevol, vol energie!

My name is Sarah
I am but three,
my eyes are swollen
I cannot see.

I must be stupid,
I must be bad,
what else could have made
my daddy so mad?

I wish I were better,
I wish I weren't ugly,
then maybe my Mommy
would still want to hug me.

I can't speak at all,

or else I'm locked up
all the day long.

When I awake I'm all alone
the house is dark
my folks aren't home.

When my Mommy does come

Die wrede wêreld en mense daar buite...

Vandag se onderwerp lê my baie swaar op die hart. Kindermishandeling. Ek is so ongelukkig om iemand te ken wat vir 7 jaar saam my gewerk het wat haar 2 maande oue babatjie mishandel het..Hy is op 7 April 2009 om 16:30 oorlede. Ek het geweet die vrou was "evil",maar om haar baba te mishandel?? Dit het ek NOOIT OOIT verwag nie. 2 maande oue babatjie??? Dit was haar boyfriend, die pa van die kind wat hom fisies mishandel het, maar sy het niks gedoen nie. Haar verskoning: " Ek het nie 'n foon gehad om te bel nie"Ek vra myself oor en oor? HOEKOM? HOE DOEN MENS SO IETS? Op hierdie stadium het ek baie woede in my.
Ek moes gister saam met al die ander mense wat saam my werk verklarings by die polisie gaan aflê het oor watter tipe mens M is.

Twee van klein W se ribbes was gebreek, sy long was "gepuncture" en sy klein koppie was in 'n pulp geslaan. Hy het blou kolle oral op sy lyfie gehad.
Hierdie evil mense is gearresteer en verskyn vandag in die hof. Die inspekteur sê dat die pa moontlik lewenslank sal sit en M sal nie minder as 5 jaar kry nie.

Ek wil nie oordeel nie, ek mag nie so ek los dit in God se hande oor.
Die seer binne my sal lank vat om weg te gaan. Ek het baie vrae, ek het baie gemengde emosies,maar met die bloed van Jesus Christus sal ek genees.

Hey all, im not really good at writing and I know a lot of you will think: "Then why blog?" Well I want to try something new in my life. For the past month or so I'm having this urge to do new things in my life. I don't want my life to go pass and someday when I'm too old to try new things, regret it. At age 28 I can't really tell much exiting stuff,but this is going to change ;)
I think a person can fall into a routine really quick. Take me for instance, i've been working for the same company for over 7 years now. I hate my job,but still I stay...why? It's not as if I can show anything for the 7 years I've been there. I think its time for a change ;)

Anyone out there with the same feeling?
